Challenger Athletics' 9th Annual Surf Camp

The mission of Challenger Athletics is to create unforgettable experiences for individuals with learning and physical disabilities.

Surf Camp Athletes, Instructors, Lifeguards and Volunteers were greeted with warm sunshine, perfect waves and cheering family and friends at Gilgo Beach. Long Island Watermen and Waterwomen volunteer their time to share the joy of the ocean and riding waves. Each Surf Camp Athlete is matched with an instructor, assisted by volunteers, all under the watchful eye of local lifeguards.
