Spring ahead!
The first full day of Daylight Saving Time brought not only longer light in the evening sky, but a welcome hint of spring along the South Shore. Temperatures rose above 50 degrees—nearly balmy compared to the freezing conditions that dropped more than 15 inches of snow over the past two weeks. With the sun lingering a little longer, many residents headed to the Fire Island National Seashore and nearby coastal communities to enjoy the change in season.
