Sunday Surf Session

On Sunday, June 28th, I rose before sunrise for a dawn patrol photo session at Gilgo Beach. The morning started hazy, and the waves grew as the tide came in. The day of rest brought out dozens of neoprene-clad wave riders, all hoping to catch the swell. One of the best aspects of surfing is the community around it — it doesn't matter how good you are, how old you are, or your chosen wave vehicle. Everyone's stoked for the ride.
