100 years of Crossing the Great South Bay
The 100th running of the Cross Bay Swim got sun and calm seas. Swimmers and their kayak partners left the Fire Island Lighthouse for the 5.6-mile crossing to Gilbert Park in Brightwaters

Today’s sun brought slightly warmer temperatures hitting the low 40’s at 3:30pm. The bright day brought people, kids, pets and surfers out to Robert Moses State Park and Fire Island National Seashore.
